Salmon Flies For The River Spey
The river Spey has a huge catchment which normally provides good flows throughout the season. It rises in the Monadhliath mountains and enters the sea at Spey Bay. The Spey and its tributaries have a huge range of fishing on offer for both Salmon and Sea Trout. Early Spring fish tend to be on the smaller side but larger specimens soon start to be caught as we enter the warmer Spring Months. The Grilse run usually starts in earnest in June with excellent Autumn fishing for both resident and some fresh run fish. Peaks Fly Fishing have worked with some of the finest Salmon anglers & Ghillies to develop a collection of Salmon flies tailored to the river Spey.
