Muddler Mayhem
Once the weather has warmed and there are some bugs on the surface of the water, reservoir trout will have their eyes up looking for food on the top. The original Muddler Minnow was actually tied in Canada for fly fishing for brook trout, It has now become a widely used fly throughout the world. Here in the UK muddlers are mainly used on reservoirs. They can be fished static but are more widely stripped back through the surface film resulting in a chase and an aggressive take from the trout.
