Alder Fly

The alder fly can be seen in abundance on many waters in early Spring. It seems to be the larval stage is of more interest to trout. They are almost sedge like in appearance and easy to identify. Twitching back a wet alder pattern around the margins and weed beds can be a deadly tactic.
