A lovely Mayfly imitation with a great story. We have recreated the famous fly that pioneered dry fly fishing on the Derbyshire Wye. Developed by James Ogden and first tied around 1865, this is the fabled fly that Ogden was challenged to use to prove that dry fly fishing with an artificial fly is effective. He duly caught a large basket of fish and the Derbyshire Wye then became the first ever dry fly only river in the UK. Tied on barbless Ahrex hooks.
