The most famous and prestigious of the middle Tay beats, Meikleour & Islamouth, have one of the greatest Salmon congregations on the Tay, where fish sit waiting on the Isla rising to run. We named this hot orange feeler shrimp pattern after the pool where the Isla meets the Tay as it is a truly devastating pattern fished all year round in mid to high water levels. The Islamouth Shrimp works on all waters and is a great all season fly. We have tied it on a 10mm brass tube to give you extra weight on a shorter tube keeping the pattern the correct size.
