The Beaded Olive Copperhead Nymph Barbless is a highly effective, compact olive nymph for trout and grayling feeding below the surface. The copper-coloured bead adds weight and a restrained trigger point, while the olive body gives the impression of small upwinged nymphs and other aquatic insects.
It is particularly useful as the lower fly in a dry-dropper setup, where the bead helps the nymph settle beneath a buoyant dry fly. It can also be dead-drifted through river seams or retrieved slowly on stillwater. Adjust leader length to fish it just above weed, gravel or the depth at which fish are holding. One positive take is often enough to make this a trusted box favourite.
