The Sunray is fished 'on the swing' while water temperatures remain cold and slowly retrieve. This pattern is famed for its regular ability to produce fish on the most dogged of days. The plastic tube can be skipped across the top of the streams or can be rolly polled & stripped and fished down and across. It is one of those pattern that you might see the Salmon/Grilse leaving the water looking like is has erupted and even sometimes the fly not even a touch. This is exciting 3D fishing at its best, hold on tight !
