Just below the Kinclaven Bridge and opposite the Ferry cottage Gow’s run is a fast flowing stream on the Meikleour & Islamouth beat on the river Tay. We named this red feeler shrimp pattern after this stream as we have had so many fish on it from late summer to the end of the season we called it after one of the places we love to fish. The Gow’s Shrimp works in all areas and is a great back end fly. We have tied it on a 10mm brass tube to give you extra weight on a shorter tube keeping the pattern the correct size.
Salmon flies are currently transitioning to synthetic JC.
