The Coch Y Bondhu is another welsh fly pattern that has become very popular. As a trout fly it is designed to imitate a beetle and can be a very effective fishing fly when fished just under the surface. It's a cracking beetle imitation on both river and still water. If you work a bit of fly floatant in to the fly it will often float well, making it a very useful dry fly too.
