The Olive Skater Barbless Size 12 is a stillwater dry fly designed to imitate pond olives and lake olives at the surface. Its olive body and low, lively footprint make it useful when trout are taking adult olives or vulnerable insects in the surface film but refuse more rigid, upright dry-fly patterns.
Fish it on ponds, lakes and reservoirs with a floating line and a tapered leader. Allow it to sit naturally among rising fish, or add a very small controlled twitch when the naturals are showing movement.
