Sedge Flies

Sedge fishing flies imitate the caddis fly, one of the most common aquatic flies in the world. They are called sedges by anglers who often observed the caddis crawling on the sedge plants at the waters edge. Sedge fishing flies are incredible fish catching flies on river and still water, especially when the fish are rising to natural caddis. On river or still water sedge fly patterns can tempt the usually shy larger fish when they are "skitted across the surface as dusk, resulting in a furious rise and take. Sedge trout flies are a must in the fly fishers box!
