The Ressie Dink Red is a highly effective, stillwater indicator fly designed by Peaks Fly Fishing director and head guide David Johnson. Its red body provides a strong trigger while the midge-like surface profile remains visible in ripple and can be taken by trout in its own right.
A ring at the rear of the fly makes it easy to tie on a dropper. Add a buzzer or small nymph, balance its weight carefully and fish the pair static or with a very slow retrieve. Placed accurately, it gives you every chance of seeing a trout commit at the surface.
