The Barbless Tungsten Stalker Phil's Damsel Size 10 is a brilliant, fast-sinking damsel-style stillwater bug with a long mobile tail. The tungsten bead takes the fly quickly towards weed beds and deeper margins where trout encounter damselfly nymphs.
Fish it to sighted trout or prospect along weed edges with short twitches and pauses. A slow figure-of-eight can produce a more natural swimming action than hard stripping. Allow the fly to sink before retrieving and keep it just clear of weed or the bottom. An excellent fish catcher - vary the retrieve and be ready for a decisive hit.
