The muddler is an awesome fishing fly which, when pulled across the surface can provoke furious takes from trout which are feeding near the top. It's a highly versatile fly that will float like a dry when greased or, given a very sharp pull will sink just below the surface. The muddler is a proven fish catcher and an essential trout fly for still water anglers.
Used them for the 1st time last Sunday great fly caught a couple of rainbows plus loads of take will be buying some more.
