June is classic dry-fly time – longer days, warmer water, steadier flows, and trout that are far more willing to commit to the surface. Hatches are often mixed and overlapping, with terrestrials starting to feature heavily alongside olives, gnats and caddis.
This June River Hatch Pack is built to reflect that reality. It’s a dry-fly–led selection, supported by one proven nymph for when fish drop back down or refuse to fully commit. As with all our hatch packs, the flies are tied on premium hooks and supplied in a clip-lid compartment fly box, ready to fish straight away.

Grey Wulff Barbless (Size 12)
A superb high-floating dry and an excellent Mayfly pattern. Easy to see in broken water and ideal when covering faster runs and riffles where trout have little time to inspect a fly.

Griffith’s Gnat (Size 16)
A summer essential. Perfect during calm spells when fish are sipping clusters of small flies from the surface film. Deadly on flatter water and steady glides.

Blue Winged Olive (Size 16)
Still hugely relevant through June, particularly on cooler or overcast days. A reliable choice when trout are feeding confidently but selectively on small olives.

Elk Hair Caddis (Size 16)
A go-to fly for evening rises and broken water. Floats well, skates nicely if needed, and works just as effectively as an indicator dry with a small nymph beneath.

CDC Beetle Barbless (Size 16)
Terrestrials really start to come into their own in June. This beetle is superb tight to banks, under trees, and on warm afternoons when naturals are dropping onto the water.
