Large Dark Olive

The large dark olive is one of the most common upwing flies to be found in rivers and streams throughout the UK. It will hatch sporadically all year round with the main hatches in Spring and Autumn. It can be imitated in all life cycle stages and will be a very common food item for trout and grayling.
