The appearance of the damsel fly normally means the onset of warmer weather. Trout will hit this fly as they lay stranded on the water as well as feeding on the damsel fly nymph as it makes it way towards the shore to hatch.
This is a great fly, it worked very well on Browns and Rainbows on s couple of Cornish still waters.
