Designed by Peaks Fly Fishing Director and head guide David Johnson, the Ressie Dink is a still water indicator fly that will hold a dropper with buzzer in choppy water yet still presents a natural fly profile in the surface film. This version is tied with a dark olive body and lighter hackle, a combination we found to be particularly deadly!
Deadly for when fish are sipping on buzzers or for small still waters in Winter when fish want a slow or static fly. Fish will happily take the indicator fly as an emerging or drowning midge. This fly was tested through the 2018 season and accounted for more catches than any other dry/wet combo during testing! Tied on a size 12 barbless hook.
Excellent floater and supporter of heavy nymphs. May be even better in size 14 for use on Stillwater.
