Boobies are brilliant fishing flies. The booby can be fished on the surface either still or popped back over the top. Another devastating method is to fish the booby on a short leader and sinking line where it pops up just off the bottom. This is especially effective early season when fish are sitting deep.
Well made flys but not used as I fished with ginger deer hair sedge last time out
