What can customers expect from Peaks Fly Fishing?

At Peaks Fly Fishing, we believe good customer service begins long before a purchase is made. Our role is to help anglers make informed decisions by offering honest, practical advice based on experience, rather than simply trying to sell products.

We understand that every angler is different. Some customers are buying their very first fly rod, while others have spent decades on the water. Some fish small streams close to home, while others travel across the world in pursuit of species such as salmon, bonefish, permit or giant trevally. Our aim is to understand what each customer is trying to achieve before recommending the most appropriate tackle or flies.

We don't believe there is a single correct way to enjoy fly fishing. Whether you prefer dry fly fishing, Euro nymphing, pulling lures on a reservoir or chasing predators with large streamers, our advice is always centred around helping you get the most from the style of fishing you enjoy.

As an independent specialist retailer, we are free to recommend products from a wide range of manufacturers. If we believe a less expensive product is the better choice for your fishing, that is exactly what we will recommend. Our priority is to help you buy the right equipment the first time, rather than simply selling the most expensive option.

We also believe in explaining our recommendations. Rather than simply telling you which rod, fly line or fly to buy, we try to explain why we think it is the right choice. Understanding the reasoning behind a recommendation helps anglers build confidence and make better decisions on future fishing trips.

If we don't think a product is suitable, we'll say so. Likewise, if we believe your existing equipment will do the job perfectly well, we'll tell you that too. We'd much rather build a long-term relationship based on trust than make a sale that isn't in the customer's best interests.

Fly fishing is a sport where learning never stops, regardless of experience. We enjoy sharing that knowledge through conversations in our Sheffield store, over the telephone, by email and through the articles and guides within this knowledge base. Every question is welcome, whether it's about choosing a first fly rod or preparing for a once-in-a-lifetime destination fishing trip.

Above all, we want every customer to enjoy their time on the water. If our advice helps someone catch their first trout, choose the right fly line, understand a hatch or simply gain more confidence in their fishing, then we've achieved exactly what we set out to do.

Our aim has never been to sell the most products. It has always been to provide honest advice, quality equipment and the knowledge anglers need to enjoy fly fishing for many years to come.
